THE SOFTER SIDE....

THE REAL PITBULL - PART 1

The PITBULL immediately strikes one as being a dog of POWER, PASSION and UNDERLYING WILLINGNESS.  The brick-like head, which is especially broad between his cheeks (to house those powerful jaws!!!) is carried on a thickly muscled, well defined neck.  The pitbull is a very muscular, stocky yet surprisingly agile dog which is extremely strong for its size.
The Pitbull has a strong desire to please; the APBT has evoked more human emotional, rational and irrational response than any other breed that exists today.  By no means are these dogs’ people haters!!
They are good natured, amusing and extremely loyal and affectionate to both adults and children.  But like with any breed they need discipline and if raised without love, passion and determination they will become unruly and therefore unpredictable.
Pitbulls are always eager to please their master; they are extremely courageous and intelligent and make excellent guard dogs.  They are highly protective of his owners and owner’s property and will fight the enemy to the death.  He is usually friendly but has an uncanny ability to know when it needs to protect and when everything is ok – what an intuitional dog!!
They are very friendly, but not recommended for most people because most people don’t know how to raise and treat a dog properly.  Problems arise when one does not understand dog psychology, seeing the dog as having human emotions and ends up with a dog who thinks he is the boss of the house.  You and all other humans MUST be higher up in the order than the dog.  That is the only way the relationship can be a success.
